This is a news role and one for a journalist who is keen to cover one of Australia's most followed topic. You will be as adept at reporting on everything from auction results. top sales, property data and what the latest property movements mean for buyers and sellers. You will have a strong news background, ideally in property and be experienced in data journalism and video storytelling.


We're looking for a digitally savvy and news-obsessed journalist who is able to work quickly and be flexible within a news environment. The Property Reporter will work with the National Property News Director and Property News Team but also sit within and be part of The Canberra Times newsroom.

Day to day you will:

Pitch property news stories for a Canberra audience Report and write property news stories, including utilising data and data visualisation. Have proven skills in writing for online and social media audiences and to tight deadlines.
