Position Details

St Helena’s Catholic Primary School is a co-educational primary school catering for over 475 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a committed and passionate Year 2 Teacher to positively influence the lives of students and contribute to our school community at St Helena's Catholic Primary School.

This is an ongoing full-time position commencing Monday 17 June 2024 or as soon as practicable.

Selection Criteria

Applications are invited from educators who can demonstrate:

•    Be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education.
•    Possess a sound knowledge of the Religious Education Units of Work and the Western Australian Curriculum.
•    Knowledge of the Western Australia Curriculum and the SCSA Judging Standards with the ability to organise, select and design content for effective teaching and differentiated learning.
•    A repertoire of effective teaching strategies that positively impact student engagement and learning outcomes.
•    Demonstrate the ability to use assessment and continuous monitoring methods and tools to adjust the teaching practices to cater for the needs of all students.
•    Demonstrate a high level of expertise in integrating digital technologies to enrich teaching and leaning experiences.
•    Display excellent classroom management, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
•    Demonstrate the capability to work collaboratively with other staff to promote student learning and to enhance one’s own teaching instruction and the learning culture of the school.
•    Demonstrate the skills to contribute to and promote a strong staff culture and work collaboratively with students, staff, parents and Parish in promoting a nurturing Catholic school community.

Qualifications Required

•    Accreditation to Teach Religious Education.
•    Relevant 4 Year Tertiary Qualifications.
•    Early Childhood Qualifications preferred.
