THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Drafting Team Leader, your primary focus is to lead and support the Drafting team (in Design Hub) to ensure all the required drawings are produced in accordance with customer requirements and company standards, by the time set out in production plans with 100% accuracy and compliant with relevant authority conditions, regulations and building codes. The Drafting Team Leader will also provide advice to stakeholders regarding interpretation of regulations and building codes.

There are three key components to this pivotal role:

  1. Accuracy of work and quality of drawings produced.
  2. Adherence to set turn-around time frames and timeliness of response to requests.
  3. Focus on high level of internal customer service.

WHO YOU ARE

You will have proven ability and experience drafting homes in a live environment; ability to identify and apply relevant components of Building Codes and Building Regulations; a sound understanding of all operational tasks and requirements in producing a complete and accurate construction file; industry knowledge of current drafting software platforms and preferably a recognised drafting or building qualification such as a Building and Construction Diploma.

In addition, knowledge of the residential build process and competency in using Microsoft Office is required, along with strong analytical skills and the capability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment. You can lead and actively contribute to a successful team, and along with a strong customer focus, the capacity to multi-task and have a flexible and adaptable approach are pivotal to being successful in this role.

You will be an exceptional communicator, and are able to use your experience in leading teams to work together to and achieve set targets and KPI's. High attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines and have demonstrated planning, organisational and time management skills are desired.
