The Role   

An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and passionate Art and Photography Teacher. Working with years 7 – 11, this role will require you to be an advocate for the arts and inspiration to our students. 

Commencing Term 1, 2025, this is a 12-month fixed term part-time role available at our Wheelers Hill Campus.  

As the Art and Photography Teacher, you will showcase a deep commitment to captivating and motivating students while effectively integrating modern learning techniques. As a member of our team, you will embody a genuine enthusiasm for learning and possess the ability to instil this passion in the hearts of our students. 

Key Duties   

  • Review and assess students at the beginning of each program to provide a flexible program that caters for individual students  
  • Deliver learning programs that demonstrate a research-based knowledge of how students learn and integrate Formative Assessment Techniques     
  • Evaluate personal teaching and learning programs including feedback from students and assessment data to inform planning   
  • Design and deliver conceptually driven, student-centered learning activities   
  • Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.  

Skills and Experience    

  • Experience teaching Art and Photography across years 7-11  
  • Dark room experience  
  • Creative Practice or VCE Y11 making and exhibiting class would be highly desirable   
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills  
  • Collaborative, enthusiastic and passionate about the role, shows initiative, team player   
  • IB and Middle Years Programme experience (desirable) 
  • Hold a current VIT registration and relevant teaching qualifications
