Hours: EFT hours are negotiable. Rotational roster includes AM, PM and ND across 7 days

About the opportunity

The Interdepartmental Midwives Model offers a unique opportunity for midwives to experience working in combination of departments in our Specialist Public Hospital.

  • Provide quality client-focused care to patients, their family and carers, using a holistic approach

  • Assessment and monitoring of patients' physical and mental state

  • Be part of a multi-disciplinary team which requires you to provide highly responsive and flexible service to consumers and carers

  • Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.

  • The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • Current Midwifery Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

  • Minimum 1 year post registration Midwifery experience

  • Minimum Level 2 score with a RANZCOG accredited CTG course

  • Current Registration as a Registered Nurse is also required to rotate to some areas

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.

  • Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
