Ensure environmental performance on construction sites

The opportunity

WSP is a partner in the Logan Water Partnership. We offer environmental assessment, planning, and engineering design services.

You will be based at the Partnership’s office in Beenleigh, Queensland.

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Environmental Management professional to join our project-specific team. You will collaborate with other environmental management professionals, town planners, engineers, and construction teams to deliver water infrastructure projects in the city of Logan while maintaining environmental responsibility, safety, effectiveness, and efficiency.

In this role, your responsibilities will include ensuring the Logan Water Partnership adheres to all environmental commitments throughout the project lifecycle (from planning to commissioning). Additionally, you’ll prepare environmental management plans, handle approvals applications, and conduct environmental audits at construction sites. Your expertise in managing environmental performance on construction sites will be valuable in this position.

About you

You have experience as an Environmental Advisor and you enjoy seeing projects through from concept, planning, design and ultimately to construction.

We specifically seek a self-starter with: 

• understanding of Queensland environmental assessment, approvals and management framework
• knowledge of environmental legislation applicable to the water, waste and construction sectors
• environmental management of construction sites experience, including preparing and review of construction environmental plans
• project management or project coordination experience, particularly with the management of environmental impacts resulting from project design and construction
• experience working with project design engineers and construction contractors in the delivery of environmental responsible projects
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• outstanding writing skills, with experience preparing reports, plans and proposals, with attention to detail
• formal qualifications and industry affiliation in environmental management, environmental assessment, environmental science
