Job Description

The position of Motel Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a motel, ensuring efficient management, and providing strategic direction.

The Tasks for the position include:

·       Direct and oversee all aspects of motel operations, including reservation management, reception, room service, and housekeeping.

·       Supervise security arrangements, garden maintenance, and property upkeep to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for guests.

·       Manage the operation of motel facilities such as café and bars, ensuring high-quality service delivery.

·       Assess and review customer satisfaction feedback, addressing any issues promptly to enhance guest experience.

·       Oversee accounting and purchasing activities, maintaining financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

·       Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety regulations to safeguard the well-being of guests and staff.

·       Provide guests with local tourism information and arrange tours and transportation services as needed.

·       Organise and control the overall operation of the motel, including staffing, budget management, and maintenance planning.

·       Greet guests warmly and handle any inquiries or complaints with professionalism and efficiency.

·       Recruit, train, and supervise staff members, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring high standards of service.

·       Manage budgets effectively, planning and allocating resources to optimize profitability.

·       Coordinate maintenance work and room bookings to maximize occupancy and guest satisfaction.

·       Develop and implement promotional and marketing strategies to attract guests and enhance the motel's reputation.

Skill Requirements:

·       Diploma certificate or above in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.

·       At least 2 years’ experience in motel or motel management role preferred.

·       Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

·       Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

·       Proficiency in budget management and financial analysis.

·       Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.

·       Ability to work flexible hours and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
