We are seeking a dedicated, reliable and skilled Maintenance Officer / Handyperson to join the team at our client's aged care facility. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the facility is well-maintained, safe, and operating efficiently. Your work will contribute to the overall well-being and comfort of the residents.

This is a casual position 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address maintenance needs.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and facility policies.
  • Maintain and organise the tools and equipment required for various tasks.
  • Collaborate with other staff to plan and prioritize maintenance activities.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and supplies inventory.
  • Coordinate with external contractors when specialised repairs are needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience using hand tools.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage a daily task list.
  • Some experience with small works like paint, carpentry or electrical
