Hudson is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join a large organisation; You will play a pivotal role in optimizing data-driven decision-making processes within our organization. You will collaborate closely with various business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective data solutions. Your responsibilities will include analysing existing databases, designing data warehouse components, developing data models, and creating insightful reports and dashboards. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and performance of our data processes through thorough testing and documentation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with business stakeholders.
- Analyze existing databases and define information requirements.
- Design and develop data warehouse components and data models.
- Create databases, tables, and views in MS SQL Server.
- Construct ETL packages using MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Develop multi-dimensional cubes using MS SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
- Generate reports using MS SQL Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Design interactive dashboards using Power BI and/or other relevant tools.
- Conduct unit testing of all ETL related processes.
- Develop and maintain data warehouse documentation including metadata repositories.
REQUIRED SKILLSET
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Programming (SS2012, SS2014, SS2016).
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services Extract, Transform, and Load.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services - Tabular and Multidimensional.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Reporting Services.
- Strong skills in Business Intelligence dashboard development, preferably with Microsoft Power BI.
- Understanding of database optimization concepts for tuning data access queries.
- Knowledge of end-to-end data warehousing architecture, including tools, middleware, and data quality.
- Ability to analyze data sources, perform data modelling, and conduct data cleansing.
- General systems and application development knowledge (strong skills preferred, working knowledge mandatory).
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
