About the role

We’re seeking an Environment Engineer Technical support and configuration within the Non Production domain across Customer and Technology.

The Engineer will be called upon to analyse current state and contribute insights and plans on how to implement best practice technology that can be applied.

You’ll join an innovative team who work collaboratively to identify and implement performance improvements and other operational efficiencies to reduce operational costs and effort.

As our Environment Engineer, you’ll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities. It’s meaningful, challenging and exciting work.

Day-to-day, you will:

Contribute to the development and execute of the Environment Management & Governance strategy for the Tolling and Customer (GLIDe) PlatformManage and maintain cloud-based and on-premises environments to ensure optimal performance, security and availability to enable efficient change delivery.Point of contact for environment incidents and problems.Work with the Environment Manager/Domain Lead; to develop/input to: mature platform engineering metrics; standards; processes and procedures Automate infrastructure tasks using TU approved toolset (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes)

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

Reliable, insights-driven, self-motivated and able to handle the challenges of a varied role in a dynamic organisationStrong history of team/customer engagement and staff motivation A strong desire to learn with an ability to seek out and accept new challengesExcellent interpersonal skills (written and verbal) with the ability to deal effectively with both internal and external personnel at all levelsTertiary qualifications in systems engineering, computer science, or related technical disciplineProven experience in Information Technology with AWS or on-prem infrastructureStrong experience with development tooling e.g. Jenkins; GitHub; EclipseProven experience with technologies such as Oracle Fusion and Oracle DBs; OEM; CAWA; JAVA middleware; AWS EC2; S3; AWS DynamoDB; SQLRDS; SQL Server; SQL DB;.NET; Ansible; GitHub; Jenkins; API driven development; Development and Deployment Automation, Salesforce, MuleSoft
