Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Veterinary Nurse to join our Greencross Kedron team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. As a Veterinary Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality veterinary care and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians with consultations, surgeries, and medical procedures
  • Provide compassionate care and monitoring for hospitalized pets
  • Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by veterinarians
  • Perform diagnostic tests, including blood work and radiography
  • Maintain accurate patient records and manage client communications
  • Educate pet owners on preventive care and post-treatment instructions
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment for pets and staff
  • Participate in inventory management and ordering of supplies

Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient and client care
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
