About the Role
Australia's National Research Organisation for Women's Safety (ANROWS) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing the safety and well-being of women and children in Australia. It plays a key role in supporting research, policy development, and initiatives aimed at preventing and addressing violence against women and children.
They are seeking an experienced and highly organized Executive Assistant to the CEO to join their team and provide critical support to the CEO and Board. This role is essential in managing the CEO’s calendar and emails, facilitating Board governance, and ensuring confidential and efficient communication across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Calendar & Travel Management : Coordinate and manage the CEO’s calendar, including meetings, events, and travel arrangements
Meeting Coordination : Prepare agendas, briefing documents, and presentations for meetings. Attend meetings, take minutes, and track action items to ensure follow-up.
Board Assistance : Provide governance support for the CEO, including preparing Board agendas, meeting minutes, and distributing documents using BoardEffects. Help ensure efficient engagement with Board members.
General Administrative Support: Provide additional administrative assistance as needed to ensure the smooth running of the CEO’s office.
Essential Criteria:
Proven experience providing administrative support to senior executives, including Board governance tasks such as minute-taking and preparing meeting documents.
Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.
Strong time-management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Desirable Criteria:
Tertiary qualifications in administration, business, or a related field.
Knowledge of gender-based violence, not-for-profit organizations, or public policy.
Previous experience with BoardEffects or similar governance platforms.
