Juniper St David's, located in Mt Lawley, is a welcoming facility with 46 beds. We provide a homely atmosphere for our residents, including specialized support for those living with dementia. Our commitment is to high-quality care and fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff.

Your Role:

You will assist in the kitchen with food preparation, meal services, and maintaining food safety standards; ensure all areas are hygienic and presentable, contributing to a comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors; and manage the laundering of linen and residents' clothing, ensuring proper care and return. On offer is a Part Time contract with the possibility of full-time hours. Applicants with no work restrictions are encouraged to apply.

Week 1:
Monday: 4PM - 7:30PM
Tuesday: 7AM - 1PM

Week 2:
Wednesday: 7AM - 12PM
Monday: 4PM - 7:30PM
Tuesday: 7AM - 1PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present breakfast, serve lunch and dinner
• Provide kitchen hand services including food preparation, texture modification, and accurate apportioning
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in cooking areas and equipment
• Perform cleaning services including vacuuming, emptying rubbish, dusting, wiping surfaces, and maintaining resident rooms, windows, toilets, bathrooms, and communal areas
• Handle residents’ laundry, ensuring proper washing and return of clothing
• Manage bed linen, ensuring it is laundered and labeled correctly
• Show respect for residents’ property and privacy
• Use equipment safely and follow proper PPE protocols
• Adhere to Juniper's Occupational Safety and Health policies

Key Requirements:

• Experience in a commercial cooking environment or aged care
• Experience in a commercial laundry environment or aged care
• Experience in a commercial cleaning environment or aged care
• Knowledge of relevant chemicals and safe handling procedures
• Understanding of infection control procedures
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
