About the team
The Audiology Department at Caulfield Hospital is part of the Caulfield Speech Pathology Unit with professional links to Alfred Audiology.
It consists of 0.5EFT Audiologist and 0.1EFT Allied Health Assistant.
The Audiology Service provides intervention to referred inpatients from all units. This includes Rehabilitation, Aged Care, TCP Glenhuntly and Acquired Brain Injury Unit. The department is committed to the teaching and ongoing professional education of staff and students, research and quality improvement activities.
About the role
- To provide a high quality audiology service to hearing impaired in-patients at Caulfield Hospital.
- To contribute to the development of the Audiology & the Speech Pathology Departments through participation in professional development and ongoing quality and research activities.
- To be involved in the education, training and supervision of relevant staff and students.
- To develop sound working relationships with a range of staff internal and external to Alfred Health including team members, community providers and university staff.
- The service provided will meet the profession’s standards of practice at all times.
Skills & Experience
- Masters of Audiology or equivalent
- Membership of Audiology Society of Australia
- Experience in hearing aids
- Clinical experience in rehabilitation
