A key strategic role in the Laverton Meltshop maintenance team and reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Reliability Engineer will focus on achieving sustainable continuous improvement of asset reliability through efforts to continuously convert reactive repairs into pro-active work.
 

As our Reliability Engineer, you will asess asset maintenance strategy, capital replacement strategy and optimise down day and major shutdown effectiveness and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting reliability analysis to identify asset performance gaps or opportunities for improvement through the application of Reliability Centred Maintenance principles.

Evaluating the need for equipment capital replacement plans, major overhauls, or other initiatives to complement our overall improvement strategy.

Improving the condition monitoring and lubrication program.

Facilitating training sessions for maintenance and operations personnel to enhance their understanding of their role in asset reliability.

As custodian of the Root Cause Analysis program, investigating equipment failures to determine the root cause. Recommending appropriate corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Analysing equipment failures, downtime, and maintenance activities, devising strategies for continuous improvement.

High safety standards as a core value & an understanding of legislative safety requirements

Skills in root cause analysis & a good understanding of Reliability centred Maintenance

Solid interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

Excellent time management & Organisation skills

Tech savvy & good computer skills

Good working knowledge of SAP will be advantageous.

Previous exposure to some form of computer-based maintenance management system (CMMS)
