We will count on you to:

Build and maintain strong relationships with underwriters, practice leaders, claims personnel and client service teams Assist in the Design, Planning and implementation of clear and effective renewal and broking strategies as required Possess and apply a good understanding of Property / Engineering / General Liability and Motor classes of insurance and keep abreast of all new technical and product developments through attendance at company and industry training events Possess and apply a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the Insurance (Agents & Brokers) Act, Insurance Contracts Act, Fire Services Levy, Stamp Duties, Worker's Compensation, GST, key Trade Practices Act provisions and other relevant legislation and keep abreast of all new developments Work within and across the region to support new business growth and assist in the development of new products Keep abreast of changing market conditions and informs practice client servicing teams, and/or clients of major developments affecting various types of coverage.

What you need to have:

Ideally, someone with 3-4 years’ experience within a broking, underwriting or placement position A solid understanding of risk management and major classes of insurance (Property, Liability and Motor) would be highly regarded Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills Relevant Broking qualifications (Tier 1 Compliance) and tertiary studies are desired.
