Therole
We currently have an excellentopportunity for two (2) part-time LAMR Flight Nurses in ourNorthern Operations.
Key responsibilitiesinclude:
delivering individualised quality clinical care; delivering inpatient assessment, clinical management and emergency procedures; maintaining CareFlight’s Standard Operating Procedures and clinical treatment protocols; coordinating the transition of patients from one mode of transport to the next; assisting the medical officer with medical management as appropriate; managing physiological issues related to aeromedical transport; and maintaining situational awareness throughout the retrieval process to identify safety hazards for the patient and aeromedical crew.Aboutyou
To be successful in this role youwill:
be registered with AHPRA as a registered nurse; have a minimum of five (5) years’ post graduate emergency/critical care experience; hold current certification in ALS and TNCC or trauma course equivalent; Post-graduate qualifications in critical care or emergency nursing. be physically comfortable to meet the challenges of aeromedical retrieval work; possess highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; have effective consultation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills; have effective time management, problem solving and decision making skills; be able to demonstrate the ability/skills to operate in ‘out of hospital’ environments; have the ability to function effectively as a team member in a critical environment; hold a current driver’s licence; and possess a current Working With Children Clearance or ability to obtain.The following will be highlyregarded:
Previous clinical experience working in paediatrics. Previous experience working in the area of indigenous health.How toapply
