About the Psyhclogy Service

The Psychology Service is responsible for providing a limited, short-term psychology service for clients already engaged with other HIP Programs or services to support living at home. Direct psychology services are provided for complex clients experiencing psychological or emotional difficulties co-occurring with physical health issues, such as chronic illness or injury. Secondary consultation and support services are available for HIP staff working with clients experiencing psychological difficulties that may negatively impact engagement with services or treatment. 

About the role   

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Health Independence Program (HIP) in a part-time Grade 3 role (12 months. The Senior Clinical Psychologist position will provide psychological services to clients referred to Psychology with complex and chronic health conditions referred from other HIP programs.  

The successful applicant will provide psychology support to several HIP clinical teams. We are therefore looking for somebody who is energised by and skilled in being an active psychologist colleague discussing potential referrals to psychology with clinicians, providing feedback about assessment findings and client progress, attending various teams' case conferences where appropriate, providing secondary consults as well as providing excellent psychological care to patients.
