CNC Programmer

About the role

We are seeking a CNC Programmer/Scheduler, in our Dandenong site, to program a range of beam lines, bandsaw machines and laser tube cutting equipment. You will be working closely with customers, operations and the Leadership team, to ensure delivery of cut materials.
 

We will provide thorough training and support to master your key duties;
 

• Accurately interpret Engineering and Construction drawings

• Interpret customer engineering and shop drawings

• Review and make changes to NC, DXF & DWG, STP & IGS files as required

• Regular programming utilising software such as PLM, Solidworks, Raptor, AutoCad and Fast Cam Suite.

• Daily SAP/ERP system management responsibilities

• Conducting daily safety inspections and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

• Perform daily responsibilities related to process optimization

About your experience

It's important that you are keen to learn, customer focused and thrive in a busy environment. You will be an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual who has a can-do attitude. Ideally you will be able to demonstrate:

• Basic understanding of structural steel and construction industry would be an advantage

• CNC Machine programming experience using Raptor, Prime cut, Solidworks and Autocad and Fast Cam Suite or similar desirable

• Computer literate and intermediate Microsoft Office skills

• Willingness to learn and an genuine interest in the Steel industry

• Strong interpersonal & communication skills

• A strong ability for self-motivated learning and development

• Strong enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development
