An exciting opportunity is open for a working towards ECT or qualified Diploma Educator to support the team at Kids’ Uni iC as a room leader, working in the space with children aged 2 – 5. 

This role will see you working with another room leader to guide and lead practice and pedagogy, being a mentor for the Certificate III and Diploma Educators. 

You will be a strong advocate for your team and the children and families in your care, working closely with the service Director to ensure the best interests of staff, children and families are front of mind in all decision making. You will be the escalation point in your room for any concerns, issues or complaints and will be confident in resolving them.

This opportunity is open to all Kids’ Uni iC staff that meet the criteria below. 

Selection Criteria

• Qualified Early Childhood Teacher OR Working towards Early Childhood Teacher OR Diploma Qualified Educator
• Demonstrated experience in taking initiative within your room/team and driving Kids’ Uni philosophy and approaches to teaching practice.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor staff.
• High level problem solving skills, with confidence in responding to concerns and issues raised by families, and acting as an escalation point.
