About the Role
You will assist the pharmacists at St George's hospital to dispense medications, manage stock, supply imprests and perform other supportive duties as directed by the pharmacist.

  • Dispensing prescriptions or inpatient medicines for checking by a pharmacist
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels of pharmaceuticals, consumables and stationery.
  • Undertake expiry date checking and rotation of stock.

Accurately completing paperwork from prescriptions to enable PBS claiming

Classifications for this position is TH6 ($62,540 per annum).

Your Contribution

  • Certificate III in Health (Hospital Pharmacy Technician) course or equivalent awarded by a registered Training Organisation or as approved by the Pharmacy Board of Victoria
  • Computer knowledge and skill
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Displayed ability of work as a member of a team
  • Valid work visa for Australia
  • Current national criminal history check, or willing to obtain
  • Pharmacy technician experience preferred

About Pharmacy
St Vincent’s Hospital Pharmacy Department pharmacy services are decentralised, and are provided from several satellite pharmacies located in patient treatment areas. We provide pharmacy services to inpatients, outpatients and correctional facilities. Pharmacy technicians, as part of the pharmacy support team, support pharmacists is their work within a multidisciplinary health care environment which delivers care in a patient focused manner.
