In support of this growth, Ventia are inviting expressions of interest for SHEQ Advisors to join their global and diverse organisation. 


About the Role


As a SHEQ Advisor you will be responsible for providing specialised guidance and support to the business to assist them in their role to achieve the best performance in Health & Safety.

Your other key responsibilities include:

Audit and review SOP’s and Risk Assessments and assist employees in developing awareness of these processes. Develop and coordinate Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems to improve business performance and compliance. Provide advice, information, and assistance in Health & Safety Compliance within a risk management framework to support Regulatory/Contractual/Company compliance and Community and other stake holder objectives. Improve performance and compliance in the field by conducting regular and systematic site attendance on workgroups and providing routine coaching and mentoring. 

Please note a percentage of this position will see you in the field with Operational staff and will require a willingness to travel regionally.

About you 


To be successful in this role, you should hold the following skills & experience:

Health and Safety or Risk Management or equivalent certification - Alternative extensive demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in Health & Safety. Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with experience in managing stakeholders at various levels regarding Health & Safety. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to create strong Health & Safety initiatives in response. Proven technical experience in either power systems, overhead distribution, or transmission desirable but not essential. Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Distribution Overhead (UET30619) or equivalent desirable but not essential.
