Role Overview

The Solution Architect for New Business is responsible for planning, designing and developing technology solutions describing the technology and application components to support new business opportunities within the Retirement & Superannuation Solutions division.  Requiring high level general knowledge across many aspects of the MUFG Retirement Solutions business technology estate, the position is a cross disciplinary specialist who provides technology guidance to business development and client relationship teams.

  • Provide clients, potential clients and/or internal staff with high-level designs and guidance when delivering the designed solutions.
  • Liaise with Relationship Managers and manage external relationships with our clients, suppliers and vendors.
  • Become a “trusted advisor” within key customer accounts.

This role will support the Business Development team in providing the required technical input to all phases of the sales cycle. Including but not limited to the following;

  1. RFP/RFI completion
  2. Technical Presentations
  3. Due Diligence discussions

 

  • Permanent role in Strategy, Architecture and Governance domain of Retirement Solutions business technology team
  • Melbourne based candidates preferred, but open to Parramatta location as well

 
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities

  • Support the Business Development and Client Relationship teams with technology solutions and recommendations throughout the new business and opportunity activities
    • Prepare and contribute to sales presentations with service and associated technology solutions offerings, case studies and proof points.
    • Create solutions leveraging MUFG RS capabilities to address client and prospective clients needs
       
  • Develop proposals and pricing models for innovative solutions.
  • Develop solution briefs for communicating MUFG Retirement Solutions business technology capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to devise client solutions.
  • Execute solutions’ presentations, demos and handle scenario sessions with prospects.
  • Coordinate with Business Development and Client Relationship to pursue sales cycles.
  • Determine problem domain and record in design solution documents.
  • Participate in monthly account plan table-top reviews.
  • Share and communicate knowledge of emerging client opportunities and the impacts on the MUFG Retirement Solutions business technology capabilities.
  • Manages technical opportunities requirements and documentation
  • Liaises with subject matter experts such as Developers, Technical Analysts, Solution Consultants and Architects to ensure that the technical solution is consistent with technology roadmaps and leading-edge technology solutions and practices
  • Ensure all business development technology artefacts prepared comply with MUFG Retirement Solutions business standards

 
Experience & Personal Attributes

  • General understanding of contemporary and emerging technologies and the application of these to MUFG Retirement Solutions clients and prospective clients scenarios
  • 5 yrs plus experience as a Solution Architect in superannuation & pensions industry is a must.
  • Experience defining and delivering technology solutions to client needs
  • Superannuation &Pensions industry experience is a must.
  • Pre-Sales Solutions presentation experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Attention to detail
