JP2060 Deployable Health Capability is the Australian Defence Force’s project to provide new equipment for field hospitals for the Army and Airforce. Aspen Medical's role is to deliver training to ADF clinicians on approximately 200 pieces of medical equipment.  We are now seeking to expand the project team to include additional Radiographer instructors/subject matter experts with experience in the following specialty areas:

The Radiographer forms part of a team that will provide familiarization training on new equipment to Defence clinicians, as part of a joint project to strengthen the Australian Defence Forces deployable health capabilities by upgrading the clinical and infrastructure equipment. Additionally, the Clinical Instructor will provide subject matter expertise within their relevant specialty field to ensure training is robust, evidence-based and compliant. The position requires flexibility and adaptability to respond to client requirements

  • ICU
  • emergency Department
  • operating theatres
  • anaesthetics
  • pre-hospital care/retrieval (not including non-emergency)
  • paramedicine (intensive care preferred)
  • dental

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • In accordance with the training plan, provide high-quality training to the target audience (Defence personnel), which meets the expectations of end-users 
  • Delivery of engaging and relevant familiarization training to healthcare professionals spanning specialty areas and levels of expertise (ranging from military medics to medical fellows)
  • Working with the project’s clinical team, rapidly develop a strong understanding of operation and user maintenance for equipment within the scope of the project 
  • Use your subject matter expertise within your clinical scope to contribute to the design, development, implementation and evaluation of the training materials and methodology 
  • Check completeness of equipment and report on any missing items, defects, or faults 
  • Support the Senior Clinical Instructor to identify consumable requirements and set up and pack up of clinical equipment in support of training 
  • Maintain records and documentation in line with project requirements 
  • Develop and maintain collaborative professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Promote ethical behaviour and alignment with Aspen Medical’s Social Purpose and B Corp principles.
  • Domestic Travel required

Essential Competency:

Knowledge in operating and user training on the following equipment:

  • Digital X-Ray General System (e.g MobileDiagnost wDR)
  • Deployable Ultrasound System e.g CX50 Ultrasound System)
  • Digital X-Ray Surgery System (e.g Zenition 70)
  • Digital X-Ray Patient Bedside System (e.g Micro-X Rover)
  • Contrast Injector (e.g Medrad Mark 7 Arterion Pedestal)
