Prince of Wales Private are looking for an experienced Quality & Risk Manager to join our team. As the successful candidate you will play a lead role in the development, implementation and evaluation of the hospital’s quality and risk program.
As a Quality Manager, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Responsible for providing leadership and direction for safety, quality, risk and data reporting relating to clinical services
- Facilitate ongoing implementation and monitoring of the Hospital/Facility wide quality improvement program and to promote risk management to support the strategic direction
- Play a lead role in ensuring POWPH meets the requirements of the National Safety and Quality Healthcare Services (NSQHS) standards
- Lead and coordinate hospital audits and improvement projects
- Provide effective leadership in quality and risk management to assist Managers to continuously review their practices
- Participation in clinical data collection, collation and analysis
- Support clinical risk management through incident investigation and analysis
- Coach and consult with Managers in quality improvements in order to build capacity and capability
Selection Criteria:
- Significant experience leading and managing quality initiatives and accreditation processes
- Ability to deliver a quality service within an acute hospital setting (minimum 5 years’ experience).
- Tertiary qualifications in a health discipline
- Experience in clinical auditing processes
- Proven track record in effectively implementing organisational wide initiatives and projects, with significant experience influencing teams in building a quality improvement culture
- In depth Knowledge of ACHS Accreditation System against the National Standards (NSQHS)
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite, particularly in the use of Word and Excel
- Educational and auditing skills
