Project Engineer

Rob Carr Pty Ltd possesses specialist capabilities in conventional and trenchless pipeline construction, micro-tunnelling, deep shaft and service installations. We are specifically looking for a Civil Project Engineer to join our operations team in Melbourne who have experience with the following:
Trenches Shafts Concrete structures Civil structures Infrastructure Water, wastewater and stormwater Pipeline constructionAbout the role:
Coordinating and administering construction engineering activities Ensuring projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specifications Assisting the Construction Manager and Site Supervisor to develop daily programmes Ensuring compliance with client requirements and company policies and procedures Procuring required materials and equipment for the project Monitoring construction progress to ensure quality specifications are adhered to Assisting with contractual claims (variations, extensions of time) Contributing to monthly project reportingThe successful applicant must have the following skills and experience:
Experience working with a blue-collar work force Experience delivering construction projects Exposure to preparation of contractual claims and variations Ideally micro-tunneling experience (but not essential) Bachelor of Engineering or its equivalent Experience working on water and/or wastewater projects Strong leadership skills Demonstrable experience leading and managing safety and environment controls; and Strong written and oral communication skills with experience compiling reports and liaising with stakeholders.
