The opportunity
Our Transport team in Adelaide is recruiting for a Senior and Principal Civil Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a growing team with an increasing and diverse portfolio of work. As a Senior or Principal Civil engineer your role will include:

  • Deliver a range of civil infrastructure projects from concept design through to issue for construction with a sound understanding of technical and commercial standards, including writing of reports
  • Providing technical design guidance, manage scope and deliverables, review processes within a range of civil infrastructure projects.
  • Safety leadership, including planning and execution of safety in design processes on projects
  • Mentoring and coaching of more junior team members including engineers and designers
  • Managing the delivery throughout the project life cycle, taking accountability for overall time, cost, and deliverables. 

About you
With proven experience in providing technical design guidance and input and managing the scope of deliverables and reviewing processes in range of large civil infrastructure projects. As such you’ll have the following qualities:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering preferred; suitable for obtaining membership of Engineers Australia
  • CPEng or demonstrated progress and commitment to obtain CPEng.
  • Experience working in Design teams delivering concept, tender, and detailed design documentation for large civil infrastructure projects
  • Experience and exposure to DIT Master specifications
  • Effective communication skills including client interfacing, enjoy working collaboratively in a team environment and takes pride in delivering quality work
  • Recent application of current Austroads guidelines on major projects is preferred
  • Understanding of various software packages 12D, Civil 3D, etc is not essential but favourable
