Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Operating different sized forklifts (2.5T, 7T and 16T)
  • Processing various types of general freight from beginning to end (palletised, ugly and oversize)
  • Secure and restrain all loads as per the load restraint guide with straps and chains
  • Ensuring all scanning is accurate and complete for freight in all process stages
  • Preparation of outgoing freight ensuring that goods are secured and packed correctly for dispatch
  • Guaranteeing freight is loaded in time to meet scheduled vehicle departure times

Requirements of the role

  • Current Forklift Licence (LF) 
  • Desired experience with general freight and load restraints
  • Ability to take direction from management and supervisors
  • Preferred scanning experience
  • Customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, and RIPPA values
