An established business that is continuing to grow and diversify is looking to hire an ‘Electrician’ to join their team on an ongoing basis.
 
 
Role:                 Electrician
Type:                Onsite - Ongoing
Salary:              $42 - $48/hr + Super
Location:           Sydney South (Wollongong area)
 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve asset reliability cost effectively ad safely
  • Supply technical support when required
  • Carry out ‘Root Cause Analysis’ investigations
  • Assist with breakdowns and shutdowns
  • Supply direction to trades during down days and major shutdowns
  • Carry out preventative maintenance tasks, installations and modifications
  • Maintain communications with teams including planners and operations
  • Carry out Safe Act observations and near miss reporting

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Electrical trade certificate or licence
  • A willingness to proactively assist team members
  • Strong critical thinking / problem solving skills
  • Good Communication skills
  • Ideally someone who has worked within heavy industry
  • PLC experience is highly desirable
