The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Field Service Representative to work as part of the team specialising in ALQ-99 Tactical Jamming System, ALQ-249 Next Generation Jammer and other Airborne Electronic Attack systems. The role is based in Amberley, QLD.

Responsibilities

  • Relationship management between Boeing and the Customer
  • Maintenance solutions to meet capability requirements
  • Adhoc issue investigation & management
  • Aligning and communicating with a broad range of stakeholders including stakeholders external to Boeing
  • Achieving task outcomes without direct control of execution/transactional resources, that is operate in a matrix environment
  • Deliver briefs and communication sessions to the customer
  • Utilising professional experience to complete tasks
  • Achieving Task Milestone Dates & Managing Task schedules and risks
  • Assist Units in reporting on system availability and other contract Key Performance Indicators.
  • Understand Unit operation orders to assist the in-service Support Organisation to plan an appropriate support rate of effort.
  • Provide liaison at all levels between the Defence customer, ADF end user and BDA system developers to assist with the ongoing evolution of the capability.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Demonstrate Defence knowledge
  • Minimum 3 years work experience providing engineering and/or logistics support in an Australian Defence Force (ADF) military technical and logistics environments
  • Understanding of Foreign Military Sales programs with a focus on electronic warfare systems integration in support of ADF capabilities
  • A strong work ethic and a sense of urgency for completing work to agreed schedules
  • Ability to resolve complex problems that require a high level of ingenuity and innovation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Basic level leadership skills and ability to work effectively within a group environment and with people across all organisational levels
  • Qualifications in electronic warfare, specifically in current or future ALQ-99 and ALQ-249 Tactical Jamming Systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of other Airborne Electronic Attack systems such as Joint Tactical Terminal Receiver, ALQ-227 Communications Countermeasures Set, ALQ-218 Electronic Surveillance system (desirable)
  • Experience in integration of Communications and Electronic support products in a Defence environment (desirable)
  • Experience within Defence or complex engineering project environments (desirable)
  • Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate and collaborate with a diverse team, in a conscientious and inclusive way.
