Are you a dynamic, highly motivated, energetic and self-directed CSSD Technician looking to progress in your career? Darwin Private Hospital currently has a vacancy for an experienced CSSD Technician/Educator to join their established team.

 

As the CSSD Educator your responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and develop education and training for CSSD personnel, including competencies and mandatory training
  • Assist Instrument Tracking System Projects
  • Assist CSSD Manager to effectively manage the service to maximise clinical outcomes for patients
  • Ensure compliance with AS 4187:2014, policies & procedures and legislation
  • Ensure the highest standards of service provision and patient care are achieved through effective leadership, strategic direction and operational efficiency
  • Lead Quality and Process improvement projects
  • Flexible to work shift work as required

Desirable Criteria:

  • Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation
  • 5 years’ experience working in a CSSD role within a hospital
  • Sound knowledge of AS/NZ 4187 2014
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation
  • Experience with tracking systems
  • Endoscopy reprocessing experience or willingness to learn
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills - including MS office and various data bases
  • An interest in promoting best practice patient care
  • A focus on professional development
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment 
  • Previous Education experience
