About the Role
 
Our client is looking to hire a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician to conduct rigorous NDT tests for their clients. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and calibrating testing equipment, conducting material tests, interpreting results and generating reports on your findings.
  
While previous experience as a NDT Technician is advantageous, our client is also interested in pursuing candidates that have a relevant industry background who are keen to enter into the world of NDT testing. Boilermakers/welders are encouraged to apply as training will be provided to someone that has the right attributes to succeed in this role.

Duties:

  • Traveling to clients’ locations
  • Setting up and calibrating NDT equipment
  • Conducting rigorous tests on structures and materials using non-destructive techniques
  • Identifying structural and material defects
  • Interpreting test results
  • Completing test reports, and presenting findings
  • Maintaining NTD equipment.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience as a NDT Technician is advantageous but not essential as necessary training will be provided
  • Relevant industry experience as a Boilermaker/Welder (minimum 3+ years)
  • An ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • A genuine willingness to learn and apply new knowledge to day-to-day responsibilities
  • Thorough and accurate report writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
