Inpatient Orthopaedic / Reconditioning Physiotherapist

Permanent Part-time Opportunity (minimum 27.5 hours/week). Mon-Fri – Ability to flex up to 38 hours/week

The Opportunity

Mt Wilga Private Hospital is a 119 bed specialist rehabilitation facility, with a busy day therapy unit and outpatients department situated in Hornsby, a peaceful area of Sydney’s Upper North Shore.

Part of the Ramsay Health Care Group, Mt Wilga boasts an excellent clinical reputation as a leader in private rehabilitation, with large modern treatment areas, two hydrotherapy pools, and fully equipped gymnasiums.

Mt Wilga offers comprehensive rehabilitation programs for patients presenting with a wide variety of conditions including orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, neurological, back and pain management, cardiac, amputee, reconditioning and lymphoedema.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage a diverse range of patients who require inpatient rehabilitation for the management of a range of conditions
  • Provide Physiotherapy treatments to Inpatients as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation program
  • Participate in developing appropriate discharge plans with the multidisciplinary team
  • Work both independently and as part of a team within a supportive environment

Your Key Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Physiotherapy
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Relevant clinical experience in Physiotherapy
  • Minimum 2 years post graduate experience – Level 1 / 2 position
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a case load effectively and efficiently
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High standard of customer service and a team approach
  • Commitment to professional development and maintenance of current evidence based practice
  • Flexible, positive approach to work

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
