POSITION

We have a full-time position for Banana Farm Supervisor available in Mission Beach 4852 QLD.

SKILLS

You require at least a certificate IV or higher qualification and at least 1-year relevant job experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role as a Farm Supervisor is to oversee and supervise banana farm cultivation operations and assist farm management to meet production goals.

DUTIES

The position will require the following duties:

• Consultancy and planning with Managers to meet objectives.
• Train and supervise farm hands, coordinate, and direct farm hands to assign duties.
• Supervise a wide range of farm operations as de-budding, de-leafing, de-suckering, dieseling, harvesting, grading, sorting and banana packaging.
• Ensure deadlines are met for cultivation measures.
• Confer with managers to coordinate activities with other farm hands.
• Monitor staff rosters, hours, performance and resolve any grievances.
• Organise transportation of staff and produce.
• Oversee the work of farm hands and suggest improvements and changes to increase efficiency.
• Inspect farming equipment, ensure routine maintenance is carried out and repairs are made when necessary.
• Ensure farm hands have appropriate tools and personal protective equipment for anticipated duties.
• Ensure and enforce compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards.

SALARY

The salary offered will be $60,000 to 70,000 per annum based on your experience.
