Within our Industrial & Waste Services division, we provide total waste management business solutions to our customers including industrial cleaning services such as non-destructive digging, concrete demolition, high-pressure water blasting, vacuum loading, shutdown services, pipe, drain and tank cleaning, emergency spills response and CCTV. 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Manager to join our Santos team. This newly created role is based in Adelaide with regular site visits to the Cooper Basin.

Your new role:

The Mechanical Manager is responsible for supporting and assisting in the delivery and management of mechanical project services across predominantly Santos sites in the Cooper Basin.

Support project management processes of suitable contractors and consultants. Ensure customer engagements are maintained to minimize disruption to operations. Coordinate audits, and preparation of project status and cost control reports. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and customer requirements Planning and project management for the delivery of mechanical services to Santos. Maintenance of plans and schedules in consultation with customer for works delivery. Assist the project team in ensuring project schedules and budgets are maintained. Project management and cost control for mechanical service delivery support as directed. Coordinate capital & remediation expenditure applications and monitor cost to budget. Project estimates, reporting requirements, and the accurate calculation of closure cost.

Your skills and experience

Reporting to the SA/ NT Regional Manager your skills and experience will include;

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent industry experience in a maintenance or project management discipline. Mechanical trade certificate preferred. Microsoft Project system knowledge. Knowledge of project cost control and management. Previous engineering experience in the resources industry is preferred. Previous experience in integrity management, maintenance management or planning. Proven outcomes in resolving engineering issues, i.e., construction methods, design, engineering procedures, etc.
