Our Energy team helps clients maintain safe and reliable power supplies, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and deliver future energy schemes to support sustainable city transitions.

What you’ll do:

  • Leading and undertaking key technical tasks across a range of generation and power systems related projects.
  • Prepare written technical reports on small to medium projects.
  • Preparation of proposal scope, methodology and costing for power systems related projects.
  • Classical power system analysis & modelling of systems for use in the following types of studies;
  • Load flow, transient stability, generator performance as per the NER, insulation coordination, cable/transformer energisation, steady state load flow, short-circuit analysis, protection settings and coordination.
  • Field validation of generator performance via commissioning and hold point testing activities including preparation of hold point testing reports.

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Electrical) or Equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in power system studies and related fields
  • Ideally you will have previous consultancy experience
  • Proven ability to guide and mentor junior members of the team
  • Ability to prepare and review technical design and reporting
  • Proven experience and proficiency in the use of power system modelling software which includes some or all of the following: PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, ETAP, SKM PTW.
  • Excellent technical presentation, written and verbal communication skills
