Cardiac Intensive Care

Australian’s first ever cardiac Intensive Cardiac Care Unit with cardiothoracic care and nurse led EMCO service. Newly built state-of-the-art 16 bed service to deliver a modern model of excellence in care to complex cardiac patients supported by a team of critical care nurses and multidisciplinary cardiac team. 
 

Associate Nurse Manager

Exceptional opportunity for a talented Associate Nurse Manager (ANM) to join first ever Cardiac Intensive Care. As a clinical leadership role, working closely with the Nurse Manager, the ANM is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations, clinical outcomes of the Unit and Nursing team.  

As an accomplished clinical leader, you’re ready to take the next step in your career and excited to join Australia's first dedicated cardiac intensive care and nurse led ECMO service.  As a respected member of a wider multidisciplinary and inspiring leadership team, you will be  fully supported to further your clinical and leadership expertise, education pathways and advance your career within a tertiary hospital.

Full and Part Time Ongoing plus Fixed Term Part Time Opportunities Now Available working across as 24/7 rotating roster.
 

About You

You thrive leading by example and working collaboratively across a passionate multidisciplinary intensive care cardiac team. To ensure your success in this role, you will have following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

  • Postgraduate Certificate or higher in Critical Care Nursing (Intensive Care, Coronary Care, Emergency or Interventional Cardiology)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in a critical care clinical role
  • Strong desire to build and mentor a high performing team
  • ECMO experience desirable (not essential)
  • Availability to work across a 24/7 rotating roster
  • Current AHPRA registration and eligibility to work in Australia
  • Clear, articulate communicator with exceptional time management skills coupled with ability to deliver holistic patient centred cardiac care
