Farm Attendant

Huon has a fantastic opportunity for a Farm Attendant to join our Works Crew team at Hideaway Bay. The perfect position for those looking for a challenge in aquaculture

ABOUT THE ROLE

As part of the Works Crew, your primary purpose is to install and maintain all necessary fish pen related infrastructure. You will:

• Assist with net, pen and mooring set-up, maintenance, and equipment installation.
• Assist with fish transfers, feed trials, feeding fish and fish health checks.
• Monitor and report all predator activity.

Located at our Hideaway Bay site, this is a full-time opportunity operating on a 7 on 7 off roster.

ABOUT HIDEAWAY BAY

Located in Dover, Hideaway Bay is tucked away on the banks of the Huon Estuary. With picturesque scenery you’d expect to see in a brochure, it is a great worksite with regular visits from seals, penguins, and the occasional whale.

ABOUT YOU

• You have effective time management and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• You have experience working safely in a dynamic environment, identifying risks, and taking appropriate action.
• You are an excellent communicator with the ability to build strong relationships within a team.
• You have a keen eye for detail and a proactive focus on continually looking to improve processes.

QUALIFICATIONS & LICENCES

• A current and valid driver’s licence.
• A coxwains licence is desirable.
• A certificate III in Aquaculture is desirable.
