Job Description

The Service 

KU Kogarah Children's Centre provides high-quality early education and care for children of St George Bank, Westpac, and BT Financial employees, as well as community enrolments. Our play-based learning approach supports children's individual strengths and interests, fostering a nurturing and empowering environment. The service is conveniently located a 10 minuets walk away from the train station and bus connections and is open from Monday-Friday between 7:45am - 5:45pm. 

We prioritise strong partnerships with families through our open-door policy, welcoming their involvement in our programs. We specialise in cultural competence and inclusion, celebrating diverse cultural traditions and promoting respect and inclusion within our multicultural community.

The Role
 
The team are looking for a qualified teacher to join them on a temporary basis until December 2024, however rest assure, there will be plenty of other opportunities for you at the contract conclusion.  This role will be working 8 hours a day on Thursdays and Fridays. You would also have access to casual shifts on non rostered days across other nearby services if desired .

Of course, you will need:

  • Relevant experience  
  • An ACCEQA recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree,
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates and approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates 
  • Active NESA Teacher Accreditation,
  • Completed training in Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children,
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011),
