About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as an Advanced Trainee/Fellow Paediatric Palliative Care where you will be responsible for:
- Provision of high-quality inpatient, outpatient and community based clinical services to WCHN inpatients and outpatients under consultant supervision within the Department of Paediatric Palliative Care.
- Consult with a range of clients and families and hospital and community services in order to provide interdisciplinary assessment and management in inpatient, outpatient and community/home settings.
- Contribute to ensuring that clients’ and family goals of care are identified and in developing flexible, anticipatory and goal directed plans which focus on promoting maximal quality of life for child and carers.
- Contribute to the development and undertaking of research within the department.

As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 6-months allocation to Advanced Trainee/Fellow Paediatric Palliative Care will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills, and capabilities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent,
- Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner
