Sheetmetal Worker

Carlyle Engineering are manufactures of high quality bakery and hospitality equipment. We are looking for an experienced sheet metal worker to join the team at our Clayton factory. The successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Selecting metal stock, ensuring quality of chosen materials and sizes meet drawing specifications.

• Using gauges and other measuring instruments to mark metal with appropriate lines and reference points.

• Adopting appropriate methods to accurately assemble materials into final products.

• Carefully cutting metal in accordance with the use of guillotines, drills and power shears.

• Operate folding and bending machines to shape and form material.

• Finishing products by filling, sanding and welding.

• Accurately interpreting drawing, blueprints and specifications to determine materials, equipment, material flows and capacities.

• Perform repairs on damaged materials.

• Ensure coordination and timely completion of tasks.

• Understand and adhere to all management systems, policies and procedures, and other regulatory requirements.

Experience Required: 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role

Expected start date for role: 17 July 2024

The expected salary does not include superannuation contributions by the employer at the statutory rate.

This position is on a permanent full-time basis.
