When you work for Council as a Plumber/Drainer, you will play a key part within a multi-disciplined team, applying high precision trade skills to perform new works, maintenance and repair work to Water Services facilities and reticulation infrastructure and Council's buildings.
This role is pivotal to ensuring the Bundaberg community has access to clean drinking water and efficient waste water management. Every task you undertake directly contributes to the health and wellbeing of our residents.
In this role, you will operate, maintain and construct works associated with Water Services' infrastructure, treatment facilities, sewerage collection, water distribution systems and other Council facilities, including (but not limited to) all network and network related assets, including water property services and sewer connect points, confined space entry and live sewer work, CCTV and condition assessment of pipeline assets.

What we are looking for:
- Current Queensland Plumbers Licence or Plumbers/Drainers Licence (or equivalent licence with the ability to obtain a Queensland licence) (mandatory)
- Current class 'MR' driver's licence or willingness to obtain
- Construction Induction (White/Blue Card)
- Ability to obtain various tickets (e.g., confined space, working at heights, traffic management Implementation, chemical, electrical, asbestos awareness)
- Strong oral and written communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively both unsupervised and within a team
- Proficient computer skills, including industry software
- Relevant Water Industry training is highly regarded
- Willingness to participate in an on-call roster
