  • Seeking Experienced Commercial Credit Analyst to join the BOQ team

Reporting to the Owner Manager, you will provide excellence in customer service whilst achieving business growth and targets for retail and commercial lending. As the Commercial Credit Analyst you will assist the Owner Manager in achieving the Branch’s sales targets by developing tactical planning to deliver on growth targets. Further, you will be required to process loan files through to settlement, ensuring an exceptional customer experience for your customer network.

In this multi-faceted role you will gain exposure to Transactional Banking, Retail Banking, Retail Lending, and Business Banking & General Insurance. So you will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of retail and business banking.

In this role your responsibilities will include;

  • Sales by attracting, retaining, growing and increasing the value of the branch customer base through branch sales, lending, new funds, asset and liabilities growth.
  • Lending where you will process lending applications in BOQ’s lending capture system: home loans, business loans. Order valuations, title searches, company searches, manual credit checks, where required. Order, download and collate Loan documentation. Action Loan documentation and complete compliance checklists and liaise with stakeholders to ensure critical dates are met e.g. lawyers, customers, loan centre etc.
  • Provide a high level of customer service as you proactively develop and maintain face to face relationships with internal and external customers and build productive working relationships with business partners and actively share knowledge
  • Focus on compliance as you ensure branch operations are managed in accordance with bank policies and procedures on risk, compliance and security and ensure adherence to Bank of Queensland credit policies and procedures.

About you

This position will suit an experienced Commercial Credit Analyst and someone who is looking to work in a small team and proactively be looking at how you can align yourself to the BOQ values.  
Furthermore, you will demonstrate the following: 

  • Proven lending experience (across both commercial and retail)
  • Strong business development and negotiation abilities
  • Ensure branch operations are managed in accordance with bank policies and procedures on risk, compliance and security
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong IT skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible and proactive attitude
