SICE ANZ is currently seeking a CAD Drafter to join our team and work on an iconic project. The role will involve the drawing of the new cabinets and fibre opCAD tics schematics as well as modifying the existing ones and keeping track of them for the motorway and tunnels of the Westgate Tunnel. The role will also involve reviewing and understanding ITS/M&E designs and drawings to create the most appropriate drawings for the project.

As part of a cross-functional team, this position will be responsible for:

  • Delivery of the CAD activities for the OMCS solution, comprising cabinets and optic fibre sub-systems.
  • Reviewing design documentation, collecting and analysing data and carrying out the required computations.
  • Developing CAD drawings including all related to the cabinets and optic fibre schematic.
  • Ensuring the appropriate level of quality in documentation.
  • Providing quality delivery of the concept design using AutoCAD.
  • Keeping a register of the drawings produced.
  • Collaboration and coordination with the onshore and offshore (Spain) design teams.

Requirements

The preferred candidate will bring the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of engineering or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in similar CAD engineering roles
  • High proficiency with AutoCAD.
  • Advanced level of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Visio, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SQL is desirable.
