About the Role:

Reporting to the CHPP Maintenance Coordinator, you will ensure an efficient operation of the Coal Handling Prep Plant, working collaboratively towards achieving production targets. This role will be working the Curragh Lifestyle Roster. 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise CHPP operations, ensuring the achievement of Maintenance targets while maintaining high standards in health, safety, quality, cost, and environmental compliance.
  • Identifying potential electrical/mechanical problems and implement effective preventative, predictive, and reliability maintenance and record these electrical / mechanical maintenance activities for subsequent technical reporting as required.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of plans, encompassing activities from ROM Stocks to Train loadout, including associated infrastructure and services.
  • Establish and uphold accountability within the CHPP maintenance team, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Cultivate positive working relationships through collaborative teamwork and a culture of mutual respect.
  • Coordinating and lead by example to deal with breakdown repairs whenever required and show initiative in identifying opportunities to improve plant and equipment performance

About you:

  • Electrical trade qualifications.
  • Demonstrated experience in the operation of coal processing plants, mineral processing plants or general plant maintenance.
  • Proven experience within a supervisory role.
  • Commitment to a positive safety culture and risk awareness and identification of hazards.
