The Role   

A unique opportunity for dynamic, innovative educator to join our Wheelers Hill Junior faculty. Using teaching strategies to improve student learning and wellbeing while designing and implementing teaching strategies that are responsive to the strengths and needs of students.    

This is a 12-month fixed term, full-time opportunity based at our Wheelers Hill Junior Campus and will start in January 2025.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Apply knowledge of the content and teaching strategies to develop engaging learning outcomes 
  • Apply teaching strategies based on knowledge of students’ physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics to improve student learning 
  • Use effective teaching strategies to integrate ICT into learning and teaching programs to make selected content relevant and meaningful 
  • Develop, select and use informal and formal, diagnostic, formative and summative assessment strategies to assess student learning 
  • Participate in learning to update knowledge and practice, targeted to professional needs and school priorities 
  • Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours 

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Relevant experience as a generalist classroom teacher with sound understanding of the principles of teaching and learning in the primary years  
  • Experience with the IB PYP Program (advantageous)  
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire children  
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and professional development  
  • Seasoned time management and organisational skills  
  • Hold a current VIT registration and relevant teaching qualifications
