Your responsibilities will include:

Reporting to the Warehouse and Distribution Supervisor you will be responsible for providing high level warehouse support to managers and staff as well as be the specialist for receiving, storing and managing of Dangerous Goods, hazardous materials and effective operations of Discrepancy Reporting.
The primary focus of this role will include (not limited to):

  • Pick, pack and maintain stock in accordance with procedures for internal and external orders
  • Maintain and issue consumables paying attention to shelf life, wastage, condition and storage conditions
  • Update and interoperate Chem Alert records and reports
  • Interoperate DG laws and regulations ensuring compliance with storage and handling
  • Day to day management of DG and Discrepancy Report
  • Conduct highly effective material dispatch, working in conjunction with relevant stakeholders
  • Actively review and improve service delivery to ensure stock requirements are filled within agreed timeframes in regards to receipting, dispatching and issuing
  • Maintain warehouse and dock integrity including:
    • Allocating and adjusting stock locations
    • Ensuring stock is securely packed and stored
    • Monitoring and controlling access to authorised personnel
    • Ensuring stock is held in the correct Category and Condition and quantity
    • Using ERP system to accurately issue, deliver and receipt
    • Update Defence inventory records 
    • Accurate stocktaking Conduct stock requirement management activities, including stock holdings assessments, sparing usage management, and burn down rate calculations.

About you:

To be considered for this opportunity you will have: 

  • Extensive warehouse experience in Defence Industry or similar regulated industry. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (see AGSVA website for more information)
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of DG regulations and requirements, Disposal and Discrepancy Processes.
  • Experience working with Shelf Life and DG/HAZ items.
  • Current or ability to obtain an I.A.T.A Air Acceptance Certification.
  • Knowledge and experience in working with SDS and Chem-alert.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good customer relations skills and ability to manage customer and internal expectations. 
  • Forklift Licence (LF)

Desirable 

  • MILIS Disposal Course (208026).
  • Experience operating advanced ERP systems for transacting customer requirements within the business
  • Aviation industry experience with exposure to products, services and suppliers.

Special Requirements:

Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold a current or re-instatable NV1 Defence Security Clearance or be eligible to gain this.
 
The location of the role will be at Nowra NSW.
