The Role
Our Lenah Valley site in Hobart manufactures a range of more than 50 milk, milk-based and cream products, with all products made from fresh milk sourced directly from Tasmanian dairy farms. The site currently produces around 33 million litres of product every year, operating 6 days a week and employing around 50 people.
The role will attend to plant breakdowns whilst also contributing to continuous efforts of the team to provide a reliable and compliant facility. At times this will involve working as part of a multi-disciplinary team whilst at other times the workload will be self-managed.
Your work schedule will be the day shift from Monday to Friday, starting at 8AM and finishing at 4PM. Nonetheless, we are flexible and willing to discuss about adjusting these times if necessary.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and systems for emergency repairs and carry out preventive maintenance and inspections.
Improve workforce productivity by eliminating potential delays by technical support and fault finding of electrical issues.
Coaching and supervising operational persons and contractors on shift
Active participation in Implementation of Asset Care and Continuous Improvement Projects
Maintain high standards in relation to Safe Work Practices
About you
Grade A Electrical License with relevant experience in manufacturing
Broad knowledge of industrial plants and equipment
Process improvement skills and strategic problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Automation, PLC fault findings and SCADA experience
Strong technical focus, with an ability to learn and apply new concepts and continuously improve
