About the Role

Team Global Express is currently seeking a qualified Forklift Operator to commence immediately at our Townsville based Location. This is a Full Time, Permanent Opportunity to join our team and apply your experience by coordinating and loading general freight for our local and regional customers and clients.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

  • This is a Full Time Permanent Role: You will be rostered 7.6 hours x 5 Days a week

  • Overtime is available with this role and will be offered on a need by need basis

  • You must hold a valid LF Forklift License.

  • Must be flexible to work on a Rotating Roster

  • Must have previous experience in a similar role

  • Must have a safety first approach and demonstrate WHS practices and procedures consistently

  • Follow and comply with company procedures, including hazard, near miss and incident reporting processes

  • Loading and unload general freight of various sizes in a safe and compliant manner

  • Be able to handle freight items manually and safely as required

  • Be able to use technology to an efficient standard and be able to operate inhouse scanner devices

  • Ensure that any Dangerous Goods to be loaded are segregated and restrained accordingly

  • Accurately sort and load freight into designated dock areas and onto delivery vehicles with a high degree of accuracy
