As the Club Manager will oversee the daily operations of our facility, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving business growth. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for fitness, and the ability to create a positive and motivating atmosphere for both staff and members. The club manager will also be qualified personal trainer to conduct 1 on 1 Personal Training as well as Small Group Training. You will also perform health consultations & designing personalised programmes.

Your key responsibilities include:

Achieving sales targets Manage and motivate a Personal Training and Wellness team  Work within the annual business plan and achieve budgets Implement an annual sales and marketing planner Create business opportunities with the local corporate market Provide an exceptional product to deliver to our members Minimum Certificate IV in Fitness Current First Aid and CPR Experience in Personal Training and Group Fitness A passion for health and fitness and changing people’s lives Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire Has initiative, excellent attention to detail, and a can-do attitude

You must:

Have a desire to create a fun & vibrant culture within the club Have club management experience (essential) Be results driven Have experience managing staff and budgets Have a passion for health and fitness have previous successful Sales Experience 

The Venue 

The Higher State is located within the Novotel & ibis styles Melbourne Airport, a new dual-branded, 464-room hotel opening on 1 July 2024.


The Novotel Melbourne Airport with 248 rooms, and ibis Styles Melbourne Airport with 216 rooms, will be located just steps away from Terminal 4, Melbourne Airport. Guests will enjoy access to a fitness centre, conference rooms, pool, co working space and a number of food & beverage venues which form the hub of the mixed-use precinct.


This will be a village centre supporting the airport community as a place to gather and socialise for everyone who travels and works from the airport precinct.
